Walla Walla University is centralized around its Christian beliefs, striving to bring out the talent that God has given to every student. As far as colleges go, I hold Walla Walla University in the highest regard. Being a Christian myself, I have come to cherish this Christian atmosphere and thirst for knowledge at Walla Walla. It is in this respect that I have for the University that I write this candid letter.
I write this letter as an appeal for my readmission decision of the Spring of 2016, but even more so, to give my dream school another chance. My old advisor told me Spanish was required for entrepreneurship which is why I took it for a second quarter. Otherwise I would not have taken a lot of the classes I took this quarter for my current major. I took what he and I agreed would be beneficial towards my previous major. I definitely plan on turning things around. I would love to complete my major in the social work program at Walla Walla University. Now that I have a chosen path for my true passion, I know I will be able to succeed. In the future I want to work with the geriatric population, and eventually start my own nursing home. In my formative years I felt I had a calling, with a gift to bring happiness especially to the elderly, as well as to others. My grandfather is in a nursing home, and I love to visit him as much as possible when I’m home. I see so many things I want to change there, and also correlate into my nursing home one day. I’ve also had the privilege of shadowing a social worker where my mom works. Even writing about this makes me want to cry, because I am so determined and excited to fulfill this dream one day. I am praying that I will be able to stay, and take the courses towards my social work
