NDSU Personal Statement

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to attend North Dakota State University. My dad and sister are NDSU alumni, so furthering my education where they did provides us with a unique bond. Additionally, not many of my relatives attended college, allowing me to see the difficulties in providing for oneself and family without a college degree. Although I know the next seven years are going to be challenging, extremely strenuous, and will push me to the edge of my comfort zone, the satisfaction of administering medical services to those who need them will make it worthwhile. Not only will I be able to care for others with a Pharm. D., but my own opportunities will grow. Whenever I get discouraged during the coming years, my mantra will be “college is an investment in myself,” a reminder to keep working towards my goals. …show more content…

Throughout high school, we were told that college professors are out to fail their students and don’t truly care how we do in their classes. In reality, they want to provide each of us with a challenge and are very willing to assist those students who are ready to put in the time to

I am interested in applying to SMU because it is a well rounded college. The business school at SMU is known for being fantastic and it really attracted me to the university. There seems to be a lot of school spirit around the athletic teams, most notably the football and basketball programs. Also, I really like the city of Dallas, even though I have only visited it a few times. I was particularly interested in the fact that SMU has a 11:1 student-faculty ratio because I like how the university can offer more individual attention.…

Chickering’s second vector is managing emotions, which consists of the ability to understand, accept, and express emotions. Challenges and group projects are inevitable; therefore, by observing the contrasting personalities of the involvement group, it was evident that we would encounter complications.…
