Why is it that we are always on the go? A fast food restaurant prepares meals ahead of time and are generally not that expensive depends on where you go though. No one really takes the time to see how fast food has affected our culture. When there were no fast food restaurants around people had to either go out to a really pricey place or cook at home. One thing that I don’t like about fast food is that it takes away from being able to sit down with your family and have a nice meal with each other. We’ve adopted this kind of value that I want what I want, when I want it. One way that people gloss over in terms of affecting our culture is what’s inside of the food. If you are planning to eat a healthy diet and getting fit fast food isn’t the way to go. Usually fast food chains have food that have high levels of sugar, salt, preservatives, and fat. If you get a meal which comes with an entrée, drink, and side the calorie content can easily extend to 2000 and more. You can easily look up on YouTube or the internet and find someone who is addicted to fast food. IT’S A DISEASE. Some restaurants are expanding their resources into healthier foods. In one of the corporate buildings that Chick-fil-A has in Georgia there is a wall of fresh herbs. Farmers markets are a good way to find fresh food that haven’t been treated with chemicals. It seems like every child wants a TV in their room but is that really a good choice? Having a TV in a child’s room can have an impact on how much weight they gain. Sitting down for a long period of time can have adverse effects on the body. Get up and stay active. Did you know that if you drink a can of soda every day for a year which has a lot of sugar can amount to gaining 15 pounds? While working in fast food I have seen the downfall of society; children on their phones and tablets. Sleeping is the number one thing people do and the second is spending time on media devices. Increasing time with media decreases your physical activity. Fast Food doesn’t help this. You cannot out train a bad diet. In a global sense fast food has generated over $570,000,000,000 which is larger than some countries economic value. The United States alone accounts for $200,000,000,000 according to an article on Franchise Help. According to Statista in 2017 the most valuable food brand worldwide was Nestle. As a total food places spent 191.2billion in advertising in
