Perhaps I am being crass, but wouldn’t the majority of American citizens prefer it if their family and friends were not being shot by a psychotic killer who’s upset that his mother didn’t bring his breakfast into his room this morning? I didn’t think so.
On balance, the majority of the evidence leads to supporting the fact that gun laws in America need to be made tighter: I mean if Barack Obama has said so himself, then it can only be the right and logical thing to do. However, I am not expecting this to happen today, perhaps not even in the next five years or so, but at some point people will realise the extreme danger they are putting themselves and the people around them in by owning guns.
