Bullying, comes in all types form, verbal, physical or emotional. This highly sensitive issue and the heated debates of how to keep our children safe has sparked two movements. The “walk out” movement is to protest gun violence and the “walk up” implies that the kids should befriend strangers, who can potentially be dangerous to try and prevail school violence.Both of these have emerged base off the Parkland Shooting in February 2018. These anti-bullying campaigns could prevent school violence in the future because they are making people aware of the growing issues on campuses. Thus, it is the teacher's, parents responsibility to reach out and guide students as well as their peers who are with them every day. To execute and maintain a safer environment, both groups need to be trained to detect certain warning signs from body language to changes in habits in children.

The Isabelle Robinson, a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, who is a survivor of Parkland Shooting express her disgusts like “a slap in the face” as people commented # WalkUpNotOut that if the kids were nicer to him, the shooting would never have occurred. To put a child in a place with a classmate who has demonstrated unpredictable actions and aggression is very inappropriate. Mrs. Robinson extends her reasoning in the New York Times article,“I Tired to Befriend Nikolas Cruz. He Still Killed My Friends” as she informs,” I was assigned to tutor him…Despite my discomfort, I sat down with him, alone. I was forced to endure his cursing me out and ogling my chest until the hourlong session ended”. She was against this particular campaign, nonetheless, she should have been taught to self-advocate herself instead of having his behavior continue on. The discussion of what to do lingers on and who will pretend the responsibility of school
