How? On February 14, 2018, a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School occurred killing 17 and injuring many more in Parkland, Florida. Nikolas Cruz arrived to the school using and Uber and pulled the fire alarm “so kids would come pouring out of classrooms and into the hall”. He used an AR-15 assault rifle and had smoke grenades(he had a gas mask). Cruz killed 17 people in this shooting, fourteen students and three teachers. Many people were affected by this shooting including the people who died and their families and friends. Not only were they affected but the entire United States was affected by this mass shooting. This event led to many students being afraid to attend school and even begin to protest against gun violence.
