I just received a complaint on McMinnville, Examiner Michael Holland. On Tuesday Austin Williams had a skills test and when they got in the car, Examiner Holland pulled the seatbelt strap over his shoulder but did not fasten. The applicant thought he was trying to “trick” him and ask that he put his seatbelt on as he has been instructed by his parents that all passengers was to wear their safety restraint. Examiner Holland told the applicant that he could Fail him for not following directions. Once the skills test was completed, Examiner Holland spoke with the mother and advised her that if he wanted he could fail him for not following directions and she said “this could all have been avoided if you would have fastened your seat belt”.…

Assessment procedures are important to have because they direct and alter the learning outcome. My reflection of the “assessment activity” enhances my ability to teach, because it provides information about the students progress. Assessments also support students learning of a skill or lecture material reviewed in class. It is important to assess attitudes in vocational training because some students come and have no knowledge of work ethics, they don’t realize the importance of behaving in a professional manner on the job. If a student does not meet the competency for the attitude assessment, they need to be train or referred to the school counselor.…
