Assessment procedures are important to have because they direct and alter the learning outcome. My reflection of the “assessment activity” enhances my ability to teach, because it provides information about the students progress. Assessments also support students learning of a skill or lecture material reviewed in class. It is important to assess attitudes in vocational training because some students come and have no knowledge of work ethics, they don’t realize the importance of behaving in a professional manner on the job. If a student does not meet the competency for the attitude assessment, they need to be train or referred to the school counselor. Career technical education is more than teaching a skill.
