In cocacolalifears’ ad “Coca-Cola Life - Ser padres” you see a couple celebrating the fact that she got a positive pregnancy test and they will be having their first child together. The ad skips to after the baby is born and what life is like with a child, hectic and disorderly as they make it seem. “Coca-Cola Life – Ser padres” shows the man not sleeping and going to his child to give him affection so hopefully he can fall back asleep. The house that the family lives in is disorganized and chaotic. The poor child leaves toys all over the floor, pulls a table cover with food and Coca-Cola Life on it, dropping it everywhere, a record covered in green slime, the child eating dog food and also the couple being interrupted in bed. All of these situations occur with the song “To Love Somebody” by Michael Bolton to give dramatic effect while giving sympathy to the parents. At the end of the commercial the wife gives her husband lunch with Coca-Cola Life to drink, and as soon as he drinks the bottle his life just becomes a whole lot better which makes his wife happy too, thus convincing you to buy Coca-Cola Life. One sip of Coca-Cola Life can turn your sad world into an ecstatic one, because of the fact that the man in the ad drank Coca-Cola Life, happiness occurred; inferring this argument in the commercial gave a post hoc ergo …show more content…
In my opinion I do not believe this ad is convincing enough, therefore not effective. “Coca-Cola Life - Ser padres” uses an unrealistic example however it is appealing to the eyes and ears. The song they play in the background is very catchy and also the scenario used with the baby is appealing to our emotions, but not to everyone’s emotions. In my opinion I think they should of used the health factors and how it compares, and is better, than other popular soda
