Let me explain. First of all is public, and as I mentioned before, people who came to listen to the western music concert are feeling the music in different ways. Audience don’t need the lyrics, but enjoy the sound, keep the traditions of the original musical instrument a very like absolute music. Coming back to performance of House Band who was using special electric musical effects, such as distortion, phases, etc. In case of listening the pop or R&B music the audience can show their emotions by dancing, screaming or singing the song aloud with the singer. During the classical music concert the listeners keep their emotions and feeling inside and show those only after ending of the performance by applauding to the musicians. There is another interesting difference with applause. People show their empathy to artists at any time during or after song they perform in the case of the House band on the stage. In the case of New York Philharmonic concert there are only two reasons to applaud. The first is greeting and to show appreciation before the concert begins when the orchestra members will all be seated on the stage. We applaud again a few moments later when the conductor came onstage. And you can applaud only after the ending of the piece of music, but not during the brief pause between the …show more content…
New York Philharmonic is one of my favorite places to listen to the western classical music. I always have a great positive sense after a concert. To be honest with you, the idea of attending live events is really good and useful for every student. The goal of our educational system is to make people study not only their major material, but also be well rounded and can have a conversation on different topics in other fields of studies. Live musical assignment helps the students improve their knowledge by first learning the theory in the classroom and let use critical thinking ability later during the live musical

I do not think any words could have truly described how I nor the rest of the audience felt during that performance. The opinions and analogies of the pieces found in the program notes did slightly influence me. I agreed with and understood most opinions and comments of the performances. The listenings I did for my pre-concert assignment were not nearly the same thing as being in the auditorium. It was a completely different experience to see, hear and feel the performance in person as opposed to watching a video on a screen and trying to listen to the depth of the orchestra through…

I feel a little more comfortable at classical concerts now than I did the first time I went to one this semester. In terms of broadening my appreciation for classical style music, I was impressed by how upbeat and fun some of the songs that were performed were. It was actually a very entertaining concert. I would definitely recommend someone to go see the UAH choir, because they are a very impressive group and have really nice voices. I also really liked how the conductor would give us background information before the songs were performed, because this isn’t normally something that is done at a pop or rock style concert.…

The concert that I attended was the Redlands Community Orchestra at Redlands High School Clock Auditorium. The orchestra consisted of three pieces which were Fanfare to the Common Man by Aaron Copland, Les Preludes by Franz Liszt, and Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, Op. 67 by Ludwig van Beethoven. These pieces are capturing pieces of art and history that surpass time and yet are still know in this modern era. The composers were well known artist that created a kind of movement in music history and became well known for their incredible pieces and symphony’s.…

Jazz Night Concert Report The concert that I chose to attend was Jazz Night which was held at the Arnette Scott Ward performing Arts Center on the Pecos campus. I decided to show up to this performance because I have always had an appreciation for the skill and talent it requires to play an instrument. I was pleased by the concert because I heard a wide spectrum of timbre, and I was especially thrilled because I got to hear the brassy sound given off by the trumpets. I used to be a trumpet player…

The University Jazz Combos concert did not focus on formality the way I originally believed it would. Instead of walking into a concert hall to see the performers dressed in black, already set up, and just finishing tuning there was a shocking amount of color, styles of dress, and a flurry of movement. My experience from the last concert lead me to believe that a recital would be just as formal and put together as a symphony performance. In fact, the entire atmosphere of the recital hall was more relaxed than that of an orchestra concert. The overall atmosphere spoke to the type of music presented.…

Concerts have always been a way for the general public to experience their favorite artists and musicians perform right in front of them. I myself have been to several concerts, all of which have been rap and hip hop concerts. So going to an orchestral concert was going to be a very different experience to me. I know that there wasn’t going to be any mosh pits or excessive screaming of fans throwing themselves onto the performers. With all that in mind, I was mentally preparing myself for a very different experience, and honestly, I was more than ecstatic to go than I should have been.…

The audience was very diverse, representing people from different walks of life. I noticed many university students and some older people as well. I believe that quartet's familiarity in Erie contributed to these outside he school spectators. People seemed engaged and interested in artists and their musical art form. Some students were not so attentive, but that did not spoil this great performance.…

On January 31, 2016, I attended a classical musical concert performed by Chanticleer. The concert was held in the Halton Theater at Central Piedmont Community College. The audience was dressed very casually and most of the people were elderly. This was the first classical concert I have attended, I choose to write about this concert because it’s the one that I liked the most if I had to choose between all the concert that I attended. Chanticleer is a male classical vocal a cappella ensemble comprises twelve men, that include two basses, one baritone, three tenors, and six countertenors (three altos and three sopranos). They mostly know about their interpretations of Renaissance music, but it also performs a wide repertoire of jazz, gospel,…

In the past, I want to firstly address that I personally have attended some music concerts on Sacramento State’s campus. However, I had never before attended to a symphonic wind ensemble concert. Before the concert began, I had noticed a large amount of chairs on stage as I found this quite interesting. As it was about to begin, a large amount of musicians wearing black appeared on the stage and were performing a small warmup. As performers, they were a guest group.…

The performance was incredible, the violinist played incredible together as well as the brass and percussion. Ryan Briley, the music major who came to our class one day to demonstrate the digeridoo, was a conductor one of the pieces played in the concert. My favorite part of the concert was the flute soloist Nicole Wells, who was the winner of the ONU Concerto Competition. The performers were dressed in all black. Men wore suits and women wore dress or skirts which ever they preferred.…

Attending the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra was a completely different experience than expected. I was resigned towards it being dull, boring, and tiresome because this is not my preference of music. However, despite attending it with obvious bias, I thoroughly enjoyed it. On Thursday, September 29th at 7:30pm I attended the LU Symphony Orchestra Concert in Towns Auditorium. Prior to the concert beginning, I noticed a wide variety of instruments on the stage. There were some instruments that I did not know the name of but for the most part, I knew a large majority of the string, woodwind and brass instruments presented. The last time that I went to a symphony was when I was in elementary school, so attending an orchestral concert in college was a much different experience. I was fascinated by the diversity of instruments.…
