Oklahoma Community Orchestra Concert Report

On Sunday June 12th, I attended the Oklahoma Community Orchestra Concert. This event took place at the Oklahoma Christian University Pavilion. The Concert started at 7:30pm and it was free for everyone.this was my first concert in a long time, since middle school. I got there exactly at 7:30pm, which made it hard for me to get a seat and a clear view of the concert. There were a lot of people there which meant that this was going to be a very good concert.

The concert started of with the band on my left side and the orchestra on my right side. They both had on a white shirt and black slacks. There was a podium right between the band and the orchestra. The place was filled with lots of people, who were there to enjoy the beautiful sound of these instruments. From where i was sitting, on my right i could see people who came late and sat on the lawn it was a very nice day. The weather was just perfect not too hot or cold, it was just exactly right with a bit of breeze. One of the conductor named Wagner came and stood behind the podium and did the introduction plus what is going to be going on and how long the show is going to last. This piece was performed by the Orchestra. Moreover, it started of soft (piano) with the string family and percussion family as well. The piece was more relaxing, smooth and really good to hear. It does get louder as the piece goes on. This piece was short, however it was a beautiful tune to listen to. It was not fast but it was vivace and adagio. From the way i heard it, i will say that it represents a major key , which puts an individual in a happy and relaxed mood. The piece reminds me of like sometime in the spring with birds chirping and flowers blooming. In this piece, is more likely to be played at a dance ball. The composer did a great job coming up with such piece because of the ease it brings and how soothing it
