Likewise, numerous barriers to effective communication abound ranging from the organization size, reporting structure and the amount of information. In Tricia’s case, these restrictions entail improper listening habits, official language, information conveyance tools, employee perception, and feedback. To overcome the mentioned obstacles, Tricia employs a strategy of sitting down and talking face-to-face with new staff members besides walking around chatting with the other workers. Essentially, the identified approach ensures an efficient dissemination of information and the clarification of unclear aspects in a better way than a flier or a poster would have done. Similarly, Tricia entrusts the ‘old-timers’ with the responsibility of establishing a proper work culture within the organization and helping solve the language barrier. Additionally, Tricia constantly asks for feedback from employees to ascertain areas of improvement in the system.
