Information needs:

As a manager of Carlton McDonald’s, I have responsibility to ensure that my team has all the information that they need to work effectively and safely.

Objectives:

For Increasing the profit of 5% in 2016 of Carlton McDonald’s I need to review all the organization’s policies and procedures, assessing efficiency of all the information systems as computers and registers, and also review employees and customers feedback.

For improve the company’s efficiency, I need to identify, analyze and improve the information system of Carlton McDonald’s within 2 months. And the budget is about AU$50,000. Types of information:

-98% customer service satisfaction
- 100% Food safety;
Category of information
The McDonald’s policies and procedures have high impact of the company as all the stakeholders have to following the policies including relevant legislations. The company’s policies and procedure directly impact the value of the company.
The customer service has high impact to the company as the customer satisfaction level affects the company’s reputation and the core value of McDonald’s is his logo/reputation.

Determine information needs
The information needs of Carlton McDonald’s can be determined from the team members by face to face discussion, Feedbacks and/or regular meetings.

Also, we need to identify legislative and regulatory requirements. By this I mean, in our Carlton McDonald’s there must be no discrimination for skin color, nationality, religion, culture and so on. And everyone should have equal job opportunity.

Additional tools
According to improve our system relating to feedback forms, I would ask our customers to fill these feedback forms expressing from 1 to 10 as the service was acceptable, if they will return to visit us, and to encourage customers to fill out the coupons, giving away a trip for two people for example. At the end of the page there will be my e-mail address where customers are able to discuss directly with me for any issue.
In this way, Carlton McDonald’s can understand if the customer is happy or no for the quality of the food and for the service.
In addition, customers can log into our page and express their compliment or make a complaint regarding what they are interested in. But before customers have to become members of our page, so that they can express themselves in confidence with us.
