During my last academic years at UBC and until recently, I have worked as an intern at a pharmaceutical platform company called, Vesta Health Systems Inc. I had an opportunity to not only gain analytical skills as a business analyst, but also to provide basic administrative support such as data entry, confidential document management, and responding to inquiries of both native speakers and non-native speakers of English. Performing restaurant service activities required me develop multitasking ability, interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a highly diverse population. To ensure excellent service standards, I always tried to be patient, empathetic and passionately communicate with customers, identify their needs to achieve satisfaction, and help improve the restaurant’s brand perception.
I believe these skills I have learned from my previous experiences align well with the qualification as a student service assistant at the Go Global. I am extremely enthusiastic about UBC Go Global’s focus on international learning opportunities, and am certain I would make a valuable addition to the team.
