The benefit to free higher education in the United States should be offered to students that keep an average to above average grade point level. This is necessary to students that do excel academically because they are self-disciplined and self-motivated. Giving them the benefit to college at no cost is fair because they have all the qualities to a successful academic college career and they’ll be great laborers to this country in the near future. Being an American student myself, this country always seems to put a price on situations that are the most valuable to citizens, or any situation that’ll lead citizens to some sort of stability in their lives. Education being the most crucial one, the cost for higher education in the United States is absolutely ridiculous. Tuition in the United States is obviously way too expensive, it leaves students in unnecessary debt and it also destroys students’ eagerness to attend college.

The average cost for college tuition in America is a little over $40,000 a year, most of the time if you’re attending a university within your state you’ll pay about a half to a quarter of that price. High school students that get accepted into America’s top ivy league schools end up paying nearly double that amount, but why? how are they supposed to benefit their knowledge if they’re going to be worried about being in debt for nearly half their adult life.
