They go above and beyond the basic structure of recruitment to the point that even the CEO gets involved. This says a lot about how valuable Google believes their human capital is. Even though Google has been able to establish an effective hiring machine because of how intense the process is, I do not think this is the best way to choose new-hires. There are other companies consistently ranked alongside Google as the best corporations to work for and they do not feature a hiring structure as resource intensive as Google's, mainly because they cannot afford to. The best recruiting structure would need to be both efficient and effective. However, Google's goal is not to have the best recruitment system and since they have the capital necessary for such a system they shouldn't change
