Programming on the network consists of original and acquired television series, theatrically- and home video-released movies, and mainstream rap, hip-hop and R&B music videos. BET does a lot of advertising, this helps generate revenue for the company. BET is known for:

Even though it is called Black Entertainment Television doesn’t mean that they only have African American employees. There are a lot of different cultures that work at BET. This is a plus for the company because it allows them to work on new ideas, and opportunities. BET believes in removing barriers, they have zero tolerance for discrimination. This was created because of a companywide dialogue, that shows how unconscious bias can affect perceptions of others, interactions with coworkers and clients, and the entire business overall. for an individual that are strongly affected by diversity for example are gender, race, disabilities, and sexual orientation. Other characteristics would include background, location, and education. Diversity has five principles:
• Expansive
• Boundaries
• Dynamics
• Similarities
• Differences
Diversity in a workplace designates managing in a way to fully be aware of the probable benefits that differences can bring. The framework of diversity will provide a way of opinion. Diversity is a matter of increasing concern within Human Resource management and development. It is systematic and a planned commitment, it fuels the dynamics of employees. Diversity is global and it is set up so that companies can be successful, but it’s up to the manager to make sure that diversity in the workplace is effective, and the results will show for themselves.

Strategies to Address the Effects
• Involve every employee when erecting and executing initiatives that deal with diversity in a workplace.
• Make sure employees are able to express their opinion.
• Make sure that managers and employees utilize diversity training.
• Provide employees with surveys so they give their opinions on some of the changes that will made within the
