Arguments Against Planned Parenthood

The problem I have chosen to identify falls within the defunding of Planned Parenthood. Once again this issue has become a heated debate among the republican and democratic members of congress. The democrats in the senate as well as President Obama are being blamed for any government shutdown that may occur due to their persistence in protecting the services provided and the funding allocated by the federal government that is legal as well as ethical. Planned Parenthood has been a financial supporter of Obama’s presidential campaign in the past, which republicans say proves that some type of corruption is now taking place between the two entities. The major accusation that Planned Parenthood has been accused of is profiting from the sale of aborted fetal tissue and by promoting this practice, increases the number of abortions that are being performed without offering any other type of solution to the unwanted pregnancy.
As far as finding and exploring solutions to overcome this issue, President Obama with his power of veto has promised that if any such bill to defund federal or state funding that is provided to Planned Parenthood is presented to his desk. he will automatically dismiss the bill. There are also

Planned Parenthood has been a major provider of services such as family planning, contraception, health screenings, STD testing and sex education as well as abortions. Many of these services are provided to low income women and men as well as teens. When presenting my argument I intend to present the statistics I have found during my research which will include credible sources to compare data from both sides of the argument. Then finally I will try to make a personal connection with my audience by listening and sharing
