In this article it states the dispute between the republicans on defunding Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood has been accused of something major, they were accused of gaining profits from selling fetal tissue. Planned Parenthood denied these accusations and called it offensive. The president of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards faced off with conservative lawmakers who are wanting to end funding for Planned Parenthood. The reason they want to defund it is because there was a video released by anti-abortion activist. The video shows an official from the health group trying to sell fetal tissue. Mr. Richards claims that the video was edited by an activist and said to be misleading. There has been investigation on the video and there is no evidence to show that Planned Parenthood has participated in any selling of fetal tissue. They only donate fetal tissue for reasons that are legal. There is a fight between both parties over Planned Parenthood on whether it should still be funded or not. Republicans feel that Planned Parenthood as a well-funded machine is promoting Democratic candidates. Jim Jordan a Republican from Ohio called the video barbaric and a repulsive game. Even if these accusations are fake, if they were to tell fetal tissue that is a taboo. Taboo is a mores that are prohibited and unacceptable behaviors in society. This is an example of social conflict because men are deciding for women. Social Conflict means theory based on the economy, dialect change, and revolution.
