Another tendency of these morally right republicans is to obscure the essential line between political and religious views. Most of them suffer from a case of tunnel vision- seeing only what they want to see. Thus creating a prevalent problem in their arguments against Planned Parenthood; they are incredibly and inappropriately biased therefore removing validity from most of their statements. Conservatives in congress, such as David Walberg (represenative of Michigan) made the claim, “No matter what party you belong to, we should all agree that taxpayer dollars should not be used for harvesting baby parts.” This statement while holding some truth, contorts the true purpose of tax dollars that are utilized to support Planned Parenthood. The answer is no, “it goes against the fundamental values of equality, mutual respect, and human rights that our country stands for” (O’niell). Whether we like it or not, women have the God-given natural right to do as they please with their body. To attempt to take that right away could be seen as an atrocious act of unconstitutionality. Even fellow republican candidate Jeb Bush, who has republican blood literally running through him thanks to his father and brother, declared, “I am against the government shutdown. That’s not how democracy works” while being interviewed on fox news (Barbaro). One cannot force their views, mores, or beliefs on others, that goes against the very foundation of the United States of
