The issues on abortion, Planned Parenthood activities, and their role in fetal tissue research has led to many controversial debates against supporting the Planned Parenthood organization. There has been ongoing disagreements between the Republicans and Democrats in congress, on the issue of funding Planned Parenthood. Republicans have always strongly show that they are against abortion. Therefore, increase abortions as well. When congress defunds planned parenthood, it is essential to understand the rippling affect that will happen when a service is taken away. Under the circumstances of funds being taken away, there wont be enough funds to provide services for low incomes. With funding decreasing, the amount of services and education starts to go down. Some staff members who use to dedicate their time educating and teaching people healthy sex education through meetings, seminars, and classrooms will be lowered because now their primary focus will shit to helping more in the office to keep the facility running and financially stable. If Planned Parenthood stop providing service to low incomes, younger generations will less likely obtain information and education that they need in order to promote healthy and safe sex lifestyle. Education is the key to lowering the percentage of teen pregnancies, abortions, and sexual diseases. In which, the organization has successfully been doing. If Republicans are truly concern on the issue of abortion, then they should work together with Democrats in continuing to fund the organization. In order to lower the abortion rates, services and education provided by Planned Parenthood is necessary for people to have options in protecting, preparing, and promoting healthy sex

I think that most classical liberals are very likely to support funding of Planned Parenthood because Planned Parenthood supports freedom from restriction and empowerment. Not to mention that Planned Parenthood funding is supported by over 60% of US citizens and liberals value the state as a contract between individuals thus liberals would be in favor of majority opinion. (Planned Parenthood Funding Poll Results) Radicals also seem likely to align with government support of Planned Parenthood because revolutionary rights is a political ideal of radicals and the services which Plan Parenthood provide are considered revolutionary by much of society including abortion services. Conservatives are likely aligned with the perspective that government should not fund Planned parenthood for several reasons.…

Kimberly Ross of Red State says “In fact, Planned Parenthood has so much money on hand that they spent $38 million on campaigns this year to put Hillary in the White House and pro-abort candidates in Congress.” Now that is a lot of money to be spent on something that has nothing to do with the patients of Planned Parenthood. To me it just seems unjust that people are paying taxes to the government for abortions while the Planned Parenthood business gets to play with tax dollars from the government to support a candidate’s…

There is nothing all the more monetarily and economically determinative to a lady than choosing if or when to have kids, a choice to which Planned Parenthood has made an enormous commitment for a huge number of people. Planned Parenthood is the reason social moderates keep on assaulting abortion, as well as contraception in case one is against abortion and contraception, it is not just about abortion. Also, it is the reason Planned Parenthood has turned into a talisman to one side, an image of what they fear most ladies controlling their own, particular regenerative predetermination. 66% of the 1 million premature births in this nation are undertaken by private professionals other than Planned Parenthood, yet there are no mass dissents and…

Despite the attacks on Planned Parenthood, there are still 700 Planned Parenthood health care centers across the country and Planned Parenthood is still working with legislation to introduce bills to expand and protect access to reproductive health care across the country. Alternative Solutions or Policies The anti-abortion debate and attack on reproductive health care rights is concerning to me as a woman, what concerns me the most however is affordability of abortion. The Hyde Amendment passed in 1976 excludes abortion from the comprehensive health care services provided by the federal government through Medicaid to people who are low income. There are currently only 17 out of 50 states that fund abortions for low-income women on same or similar terms as other pregnancy-related and/or general health services.…

In fact, the opposite is true. “Halting federal funds to Planned Parenthood would shrink spending by $520 million in the short run – but, over the first decade, it would cost taxpayers an additional $650 million,” an article from the Washington Post stated. The article also stated that taking the PPFA away “would take basic health care away from people who need it most --- those who are struggling to get by, who rely on Medicaid or have no health insurance.” The only way these people would be able to get the health care they need would be by a visit to the emergency room, which is much more expensive than an ordinary doctor’s appointment and is payed for by taxpayers. Additionally, as patients no longer had access to birth control or safe abortions (which, by the way, aren’t funded by the government), the number of unplanned births would increase.…

As many accusations towards the non-profit business Planned Parenthood arose in early 2015 many groups like the GOP began rallying towards the defunding of the institution. People have always been pushing for the defunding of the institution because of the abortions practiced there. Then in 2015 a pro-life organization released a chilling video of doctors working at Planned Parenthood discussing the selling of aborted fetus tissue. Even though the video was debunked the fight to defund the institution was never stronger. What many people did not realize is that defunding Planned Parenthood would cause a negative effect on many Americans, although it would save tax dollars, there would be a loss of health services that are otherwise not affordable.…

Government Defunding of Planned Parenthood Abortions “As a nation, we gamble with the lives of those who do not yet have a voice to defend themselves for the sake of allowing women to escape the consequences of their previous decisions by removing every possible future decision from the children dependent on their bodies for growth and development” (Waltman). Everyday Planned Parenthood performs abortions funded by the government. The government funding of abortions needs to stop. With the government funding these abortions, it now allows them to escape their consequences and literally not have to pay for it.…

Women’s rights has been an issue in the United States since the early 1800’s and until all people are comfortable discussing the fact that in many parts of the world, women have no say in what they can do with their bodies or how it’s treated. A woman should be the only one who can decide what is best for her body. There is only so much that women can do when the one place that helps women with checkups and abortion based questions, Planned Parenthood, is being defunded or closed down. “The House of Representatives is expected to pass a budget reconciliation bill that guts the Affordable Care Act, pulls roughly $450 million in federal assistance from Planned Parenthood and prevents Medicaid recipients from getting reimbursed…
