Adolf Hitler Hitler once said “To conquer a nation, First disarm its citizens” (To Conquer a Nation) Adolf Hitler greatly affected the history of persecuting Jews, started World War 2, and showed the world the negative effects of the Socialist party. Jews have been persecuted all through history. Hitler and the Nazis took persecution of the Jews. The first crucial action against Jewish and German was the Jewish community. Jews were blamed for all Germany’s troubles. Hitler presumed power of Jews in Germany. Jews were distinguished because of their beliefs and culture. Some believe Jews were in charge of killing Jesus. Jews were killed by the Christians in the Middle Ages. Some were killed during the Crusades and sometimes a whole Jewish community was put to death. Even after the middle ages Jews were still being persecuted and killed. The Nazis occupied 19 European countries during the second war. World War 2 started in 1939 and ended in 1945. In this time, Nazis and their collaborators were in charge of the deaths of 11 million to 14 million people; about 6 million of them were Jews.
