In general, this project has taught me key 21st century skills such as creativity, collaboration, communication, organization and working in a group. The uniqueness of this project was a great learning experience because I 've never done this type of project in any of my other classes. I am very proud of the finished product and all the hard work and time I put into it. If I could do one thing differently, it would be to leave more time in class towards the end of the project to be able to practice as a group what each of us were going to say when it came time to present to the architects and realtors. On block day before the presentation, we only ran through what we were going to say once and I wish we would have left more time to practice. My process for this project was to break it down into steps to help better manage my time, not to mention it also, took a potentially overwhelming project into smaller sections. Our first task for the project was sketching out floor plans and creating blueprints. When designing a sketch for our house plan, we used the eight step process in architectural design which we learned from Mr. Youngquist’s presentation. It was beneficial to compare our sketches to my own house to include ideas that I liked, and leave out anything I didn 't like.
