    So what are MDG goals?. The Millennium Development Goals or also known as the MDG goals are 8 different goals with each goal consisting of 1 target or more, with a clear deadline for enhancing the lives of the millions of people who are still living in poverty. In order to achieve these goals and eliminate the factor of poverty, leaders from 189 different countries came together and signed the historic Millennium declaration at UN (united nations) millennium summit in the year of 2000.
