Senegal and A. Seyal (Baldwin, 1999). These two species and many Acacia species are indigenous to the Sahelian region of Africa and for which Sudan is the leading producer (Gashua et al., 2015). They are also indigenous to many west African and sub-Saharan African countries such as Nigeria, Niger, Uganda, Mauritania and Chad.
