    grades students will get more time to rest. However, banning letter grades does not mean that students are free from home works and tests. Plus, if they are given report cards based on their performance, it can have unfair results because teachers can give whatever comments they want. If the students are nice to teachers then they can have good comments such as “average” or “above average”. This is unfair for students who are shy and quiet because they can be very smart and just receive an “average” or “below average”. Letter grade is a fair way to grade students because they will receive points for questions that they have answered correct. In conclusion, letter grades are very important for every student because it allows them to see what academic level they are at, what to improve, compete positively with each other, and earn higher salaries in the future. If letter grades are gone, teachers can grade students unfairly. It is very important to keep letter grades because it show student’s knowledge and students will know what they will need to improve on. Letter grades allow the school to distribute report cards with grade point average and allow parents and students discuss their grades. Letter grades existed for a long time and it exists for a reason. If we use other standards to evaluate students we might not have and accurate rating and we might not understand how we are actually doing in school.
