The kids are mirror images of their older selves, and the commercial shows that if you try hard enough your dreams will come true. This commercial is trying to sell their sports drink ‘Gatorade’ and the way they are trying to make this appeal to the audience is by showing well known athletes to influence you to purchase the product. By buying this product they may believe that they can do the great things these athletes do. The emotion that is felt within this commercial is nostalgia. That element is shown through the children’s version of these athletes. In the commercial the children have big dreams and high expectations. This is shown within the adult version of these athletes. We were all children once, where we dreamed big and tried hard. In the commercial it shows that dreams are timeless. When most of us were young we all push ourselves to become greater. We all have an inner child within us from our past who is still dreaming big, that child is encouraging us to achieve our dream.
