Why I Want To Participate In NSLI-Y?

Participating in NSLI-Y would be of benefit to my future. For the first reason, the NSLI-Y Korean program would benefit my career. I aspire to become a military family nurse practitioner, and work on an American military base is South Korea. The Korean language program would assist me to effectively communicate with Korean-speaking military spouses and their families. As for the second reason, experiencing foreign exchange will aid me in developing more as a person. Through foreign exchange, people learn independence and self-reliance. As a result, this experience would teach me valuable life skills that I will utilize for the rest of my life. Finally, for the third reason, participating in NSLI-Y would give me a better perspective of the world
