The reason that I'm interested in attending Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design is because of the 3D Animation degree that the college offers. I can contribute to RMCAD's professional community by contributing to the rest of the world, from local to global, by showing that the college helped further my critical thinking and creative skills. I will also help show the world that RMCAD is an excellent college for art and design that challenges and inspires their students. Another way I will contribute, is that when I graduate from RMCAD, I will go in the Animation field and furthering the college's great repetition. I want to pursue a career in the art and design fields for being an artist is part of my core being.…
Extracurricular activities like the FFA and 4-H Organizations, help students, like me, gain experience in a variety of areas that will enhance our future. Through participation in these organizations, I have learned cooperation, teamwork and time management. By serving as an officer, I have also gained responsibility, as well as problem solving and communication skills. FFA has opened doors to new leadership roles at both a local and multi-county level. I have been given the opportunity to serve as Teutopolis Chapter and Section 20 Reporter and Vice President.…
Before my current employment I was at a crossroad. I was 23 years old and nearing the end of a bachelor’s degree with no idea what to do next. I was constantly being asked what my plans were “after Wayne State”. I had no idea. I assumed I would find something I enjoyed, and psychology offered many options.…
As a Family Advocate, I work with families and children from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. It is important to focus on building relationships of mutual trust, confidence, and respect for diverse families. After completing the observations, the anti-bias curriculum is a must to reflect the culture and background of the families and children in the program. Many families I work with are low income. My goal is to create an environment where children and families from different backgrounds can feel comfortable and belonging.…
I would be an asset in the program because I love interacting with people and learning new ways to improve their lives. I quickly discovered my passion for children and this field through the past two years of work experience at the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home (LBCH). I am fortunate enough to be the recreation leader, lifeguard, and math tutor of a diverse group of kids with heart-wrenching upbringings, circumstances, and for some, communication setbacks. My inner longing to provide more assistance to them communication-wise grows daily. The knowledge I am obtaining at ULM, the child-interaction skills I am gaining through the LBCH, and the God-given love and compassion for people all contribute and work simultaneously towards thriving…
As a junior at Northville High School, I am already discovering my passion for business through my participation and leadership roles in organizations such as DECA. I have obtained not only extensive marketing and general business knowledge through self-studying for competitive tests, but also practical communication, presentation, and sales skills while representing various business professionals in judged roleplay scenarios. I have placed at the district, state, and international level in my events, and this year I will have competed at the International Career Development Conference for my third year. These experiences give me a good foundation of understanding business concepts, and I plan to learn more about how businesses operate in the global market through the Business is Global program at the Kelley School of Business.…
Personal Statement I remember learning GCSE History of the different ages us humans has gone through. From roughly 2400 BC where individuals had only the abacus for calculations to today where access to information is easily accessible on demand. What are these devices and how are they able to allow us to carry out such complex tasks so quickly and efficiently? This is what I am intrigued to know…
Becoming an AGPCNP will provide me with the knowledge and training to safely and effectively treat adult patients across the lifespan. Although I entered this program planning to work as an FNP, experiences during the pre-specialty year have confirmed my passion for the adult patient. Specifically, I hope to serve rural communities as a primary care provider, focusing my practice on the management of chronic disease in older adults. My passion for older adults is rooted in the experiences I had throughout the summers of my undergraduate career. I spent my summers with a nonprofit in rural North Carolina partnering with churches, social workers, and businesses to complete home repair for low-income families.…
I want to spend my career providing care for underserved communities. The time I have spent with the Native Americans of the Gila River Indian Community has been the most professionally rewarding of my life. I enjoy their culture, their sense of community and their sincere gratitude. It is a incredible feeling to know I am working with people who really need my help in a place where I can make a real difference. I want to attend ATSU.…
Being part of an organization involves commitment to your role and good communication with other members. I believe that I possess these traits needed to be a part of MPA Council’s committee chair. As the Fundraising Director of a service organization, I learned how to work as a team to accomplish goals and make events possible. Furthermore, I am able to adapt to unexpected changes and take on responsibilities for the organization as the whole. Through being part of MPA Council, I hope to contribute to the program and develop myself professionally.…

Success is seldom contingent solely on one’s efforts, but is also a byproduct of one’s surroundings. At Miami Dade College one does not simply find an institution of higher education, but also, a community. A community of nurturing, acceptance, and inspiration. An environment of unparalleled success, where students are challenged daily to excel academically and personally. MDC is an institution paving the way for affordable, debt-free education, while simultaneously refusing to compromise on academic programs.…
Occupational therapy enables people to live life to its fullest, no matter their age, history, or limitations. I find that really empowering because as an occupational therapist I can help someone achieve their goals, whether it is as simple as buttoning their shirt or as important as living on their own. The impact I have on their life is an enormous responsibility, but the outcome makes it all worthwhile. Seeing that smile on their face when they accomplish a certain task after the countless struggles and setbacks they have endured is the greatest reward of all. Furthermore, helping them fills me with immense pride and gratitude because I know I have truly made a positive difference in their life.…
My purpose is to serve and uplift my community. I think I can best do this by working with children within the school district as a school counselor. I want to help children dream, hope and find their own purpose in life. I am firm in the belief that this is my path. I think my statement is clear, however I am still exploring the different routes I can take to achieve this goal.…
Specifically, I was not only able to make new friendship relationships for both my child and myself but I was able to get a better understand of my child behaviors on a psychological level that will lead to a better overall connection between the two of us. Being able to contribute to the study was also a personal benefit. Helping both the school and the students in furthering their educational goals was gratifying. The was a great SLP for me, not what I expected, but it had a far more rewarding outcome than I could have hoped for.…
