No one in this world wants to lose a family member to a drunk driver. Drinking and driving should not happen in the United States. Bars should take more actions, people need to plan ahead of time before going out and learn to limit themselves on how many drinks and money spent or the people should start a program for people just turning twenty one on drinking and driving and the consequences. Most people do not realize the great risk of drunk driving to ones life or others. Take more time to look at driving under the influence and making the streets safer. There are different ways people can prevent drunk driving. Bar owners and bouncers can help in different ways to prevent people from leaving the bar too intoxicated to drive home. …show more content…
This program should explain the consequences of drinking and driving, what to expect when a friend is too intoxicated to drive or what they should do when they are under the influence. The program should explain that when you get caught drinking that person will get a ticket or DUI,or a DWI and will be arrested, depending on the alcohol found in that person’s system and the officer giving the ticket. The ticket can be a very hefty fine, it could cost that person a lot of money that they probably do not even have. The DUI will cost even more money than a simple ticket.When a person gets a DUI they may have to attend a class where they watch videos of accidents and talk about that person actions. MADD or most know as Mothers Against Drunk Driving.Related accidents MADD’s mission is to aid families who have been affected in any way from alcohol or drugs, the victims involved, and help increase the awareness of drunk driving to the public (“Mission”). MADD is a place where people can get help with many different things, like how to deal with losing a loved one in a accident or how to deal with the affect in their own life if they were involved and the therapy they can get. MADD has expanded their work on preventing underage drinking and emerging research underscored our efforts to prevent youth alcohol use
