In the United states alone we have more drunk driving deaths, people in this country put people in danger by getting behind the wheel of a car while impaired. Cops set up roadblocks from time to time to catch whoever might be driving impaired mostly on holidays like the 4th of July or Christmas. Everyday in America about 28 people are killed in drunk driving traffic accidents and about 10,076 people were killed in 2013 in drunk driving accidents. This is an issue that needs to be stopped and what can we do to stop it is set up more roadblocks for the cops to catch all theses impaired driving putting your family and other families in danger. But what if we as people try to better ourselves and try to put a dent in the growing drunk driving deaths and injuries. By a 2009 statistic about 23 million people were addicted to alcohol and had a problem with controlling themselves when alcohol was around. This number is probably way up in this country now but if they go and seek help the we could bring that number way down. As a country we just need to stand together to get what we need to under control instead of everyone fighting about who is right and wrong. In conclusion, police officers should be allowed to set up roadblocks to catch the drunk drivers in this nation so that they can save maybe your family one day. They could prevent what all could happen to you if you were to be out on the road and a drunk driver is to, the statistics are all here you just need to listen to what needs to be done and that you don't end up in a bad situation.
