Triage Consulting Group

Thank you for your presentation regarding the Triage Consulting Group yesterday at USC. Again, I want to reaffirm my interest in the Associate position at the firm. Throughout my college career I have always wanted to take part in an organization where I am able to balance my knowledge of society, my passion for working with people, and interest in healthcare. It’s been rather surprising that an organization like the Triage Consulting Group to come along, and it’s an amazing opportunity to put my professional and personal skills to great use and further develop my interest in all aspects of healthcare.

As I mentioned during the career fair, I have a diverse background in public service, community outreach, management and communications. At the Alliance for Children’s Rights, a non-profit focused on providing free legal services to the L.A. community; I was successful in helping provide quality service in the intake department by taking initiative and focusing volunteer efforts to to meet the needs of their diverse clientele. In addition, I was

Moreover, I was successful in helping lead the planning and execution of a summer health festival by taking on multiple roles, carefully analyzing the issues and tasks to be completed prior to the event, and working proactively alongside the CFO helped the clinic properly execute the event despite the time constraint. The event was successful as it had a turnout of over 300 people. When I returned to Williams, I used the skills I gained to improve the organization, communication, and public branding of our student theater company. This spring, I also managed a festival of new works on campus organized by the Theatre Department, becoming the first student to ever manage a department event. A lot of my work as the Festival Production Manager involved close communication with the production teams, as well as the administrators of the festival. My role allowed me to connect with everyone’s artistic motivations and inspirations, teaching me how best to support their endeavors from a managerial standpoint while also furthering all of their creative desires. It also afforded me the opportunity to oversee multiple financial, scheduling, and production logistics that resulted from organizing multiple events in unison.…

While searching online for a new place to volunteer, I began looking into Pass it Along, a non-profit organization committed to helping teenagers become confident and compassionate through self-discovery, volunteering, and leadership. Through Pass it Along, I found an opportunity to volunteer with SCARC, the Sussex County Association for Retarded Citizens, and help people with developmental disabilities. Our road trip consisted of volunteering at Sparta Lanes with both Pass it Along and SCARC and helping and encouraging the participants to bowl in preparation for the Special…

For our civic engagement project for the Redefining Leadership class, my group, Stephanie, Hailee, Christina, and I, decided to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in New Haven, Connecticut on a Thursday. Before we got there, we did not know what to expect, but afterwards, we truly felt grateful that we helped out a great cause. The Ronald McDonald House is a charity house that keeps families close to their family members that are being treated at a nearby hospital. We spoke with someone who works at the House and she told us that eight families were there on that day. We were able to see some people and did what we could to help out.…

Since well before middle school, I have enjoyed participating in events such as the Umass Dash and Dine as well as the Hot Chocolate Run, and while I may not have been the best runner or finished top of my age group, I was able to help raise funds and awareness for what each of these races stands for, as well as participate in an event with a very open minded and open-hearted community. This type of friendliness and encouragement from a large group of people inspired me to find other ways to get involved in community activities, which began my journey as a CIT for two summers and eventually led me to become a counselor all of the last summer. With not much knowledge of what to expect from the job, the role of becoming a leader and role model for the campers was not something that I could ignore. As the summer progressed, I found it easier to help guide the campers into making better decisions, better grasped the ability to communicate with my co-counselors, and learned how to balance being serious about my job while keeping camp fun and interesting for the campers; all of these lessons I believe help to contribute to my leadership skills and my ability to work with others while maintaining a good…

Joining the Youth Environmental Network of York Region (YENYR) two years ago opened my eyes to the tangible impact youth could have on the community. Fast forward one and a half years and our team was planning “Impulse,” a pitch competition meant to fund environmentally sustainable projects. Organizing this conference taught me three important lessons about teamwork: the power of getting started, the power of having a common vision, and that a team is composed of individuals. After the loss of a co-chair and overall lack of productivity in the first half of the term, the YENYR team was losing dedication and motivation.…

I am personally interested in this position for several reasons. First, I have noticed how this organization is making a difference in the everyday lives of people both locally and throughout the state of Tennessee. I have had the personal experience of growing up almost in the backyard of this organization with my family being a recipient of the food box program and for that reasons this program is dear to my heart. To see how this program has evolved over the years for a good cause, makes me want to be a part of this organization. As an adult, I am able to see and understand more than I did when I was a recipient and just to realize how it's changing lives makes me want to become a part of this great organization.…

I didn’t know much about event preparation, testing, and just the general ideas. However, during the summer, I was told that non-staff could help with events.
