Key Extracurricular Activities Analysis

Improved Essays
Throughout the past year, a few key extracurricular activities have played a significant role in my social, academic and work life. One of those activities has been my position as a leader on the youth leadership committee for my high school's band program. My work with this group consists mainly of developing and maintaining a sense of community within the band through organized bonding events and social media outreach platforms. Working alongside a group of dedicated individuals who care not just about the musical excellence of the band program, but also its sense of community, is what makes this work so rewarding.
Another group of outstanding individuals that I have been fortunate enough to join this year is the team at the EquaLearn Foundation

To truly make the Leander band the best band and a close family we need to have a strong leader group and those who don’t gain the title still need to be strong leaders in any way they can. We all need to be willing to do what it takes to better our band program and not worry about doing extra work but knowing that every minute we put into the band program is for the better. Just like during the video that was shown during leadership preparations, if the leadership team is not strong and we don’t trust each other we won’t be able to achieve our full potential. Also we need to have a good relationship between the band directors and the students much like between the leaders and each other. While we all get along fine I feel like the band program…
