A Career As A Non-Profit Organization

My goal is to work for a non-profit organisation, international organisation, or social enterprise in a department that relates to communication and media, or personnel and human resources. Three job positions that I chose from the website are Public Relations Specialists, Program Directors, and Fraud Examiners/Analysts. (onetonline.org.) Most of activities of these three positions are related to communication, administration, and personnel resources. Public Relations Specialist is the position that I am most interested in. The work activities are mostly based on communicating with peers and outside organisations, and establishing interpersonal relationship. (onetonline.org.) My one year plan is to eventually acquire the skills needed for the position and get an internship in a relevant area. The skills I expect to acquire within one year are critical thinking, reading comprehension, decision making, and speaking. I will aim at engaging in extracurricular activities more often such as volunteering, camps, or workshops so that I will be able to get hands-on experience, and get familiar with working style and tasks. Further, I will keep up with any internship opportunities related to my interests and apply for the internship. Additionally, I will also get onto knowledge of business, management strategies, and coordination of people and resources through extra studying and attend any related
