The waxy substance that is in lipids and can be found in you blood is known as cholesterol. There are three types of cholesterol: Low density lipoprotein (LDL), Very low density lipoprotein (VLDL), and High density lipoprotein (HDL). Not all cholesterol is bad, in fact low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is considered the bad type of cholesterol. Too much cholesterol is bad for you it may cause a build up in your arteries that can lead to a heart attack or a stroke.
