The three risk factors that Mary is influenced by are her physical disability (legally blind), low-income status and lack of affordable housing in the city of Hamilton. In order to enhance her protective factors I would aim to increase the monthly payments set out by Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) with the expectation that it would decrease the risk factors that she is experiencing. For example, Mary is legally blind and this prevents her from being able to work. In the case study, Mary receives nine-hundred and seventy-five dollars from ODSP each month.
