In this essay, “The Mighty Image “, Cameron Johnson believes that consumers imagine as independent, free separate, and in control. Most people believe we make own decisions that are not influenced by marketing image. However, it is not true the image is not independent thinkers and unfree. According to Johnson, “Although exposed to advertising every day, most Americans are unaware of how commercials/advertisement works in their everyday lives.” (Page#45). Johnson's point is that the commercials and ads are imperceptibly lured and managed by your desires, and it works because majority people believe they have a free choice. Advertising broadcast shows us all the benefits of the product, fashion, style, comfort, a luxury only to buy, and that is highly successful at getting millions of people.
