It is a law that restricts the accessibility of guns to the citizens. The law enforcers consider that gun control is an efficient measure of ending criminal activities in the society. It is regarded that ease of use of the guns pose threats to the public. Nevertheless, this paper will oppose the aspects of gun control. Gun control does not provide an assurance of eliminating crimes in public. It is not the availability of guns that breed violence but spoilt characters of individuals. Therefore; gun control is of insignificant importance and should not be used to kill people’s means of boosting their security. Gun control deteriorates security while gun possession is important in promoting safety.
The truth is that not everyone that owns a gun uses it for criminal purposes. The large percentage of lawmakers think that the increase in crime is due to the fact that there are many private gun holders (Lott 17). I suppose that it is a wrong perception because not every individual uses the gun for wrong intentions. I think crime is something that is related to characters in a person and not the possession of a gun. People with good traits cannot get involved in crime despite the fact that they have a gun. On the other hand, a person with bad behaviors will engage in crime with a gun or without a gun. Therefore; the lawmakers should accept the fact that people having guns in their houses is not a guarantee that they are going to break the law. It is important for the law enforcers…
