I believe that academic achievement is correlated to well crafted, student engaging lessons. Time in, does not equal student achievement. There needs to be time for students to process the information and practice what they learn. In addition, the student must be challenged to think and apply what they are learning. Using effective best teaching strategies are essential to academic achievement. Strategies such as problem based learning, use of technology, visuals in instruction and differentiation of instruction are important factors on student achievement. The differentiation of instruction model is important because in this model the instruction is planned to an individual strengths and weakness. The objective of the lesson is the same, however that way to achieve the goal changes to fit the needs of the individual
