It has taken me a very lengthy amount of time to decide what I would like to be when I grow up. I have wanted to be a variety of things and later on, always found something I liked better. Around 2 years ago, I settled down upon the idea of being a Registered Nurse. Although I plan to get my Licensed Practical Nursing degree first, then work my way up to the higher levels. I think it would be good for me because I like the idea of saving and helping people that need it. I really love helping people and I’m definitely compassionate enough to care for others. A lot of lives fall into your hands and you have to make sure you know what to do that will correct the problem. Being a registered nurse is very important and essential to the medical world.

A registered nurse performs a wide variety of job duties during their shifts. Caring for and educating patients about their conditions, as well as keeping the patients ' family informed are very important to maintain order and control. You have to build trust with the people you look after. You end up working with a variety of patients, from pediatric to specializing in one of numerous possible areas such as neo-natal intensive care, cardiac care, neurologic care or dermatology. You must be very observant and adamant about recording patient behavior. You have to be able to consult and communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
