“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish,” once said Mother Teresa. Pondering this quote, it was captivating in the way that Mother Teresa made a strong statement, with such simplicity. In general, abortion is where you terminate a baby before pregnancy can occur. People should not be able to abort their child. To see this thoroughly, we have to explore the reasoning of how this conclusion came to be. Women are trying to perform their own abortions, abortions can lead to premature birth of a future child, and these women are more prone to committing suicide. No doubt, there is a lot more to discuss on this topic. For now, we are going to look at women who are trying to perform illegal abortions on themselves.

Firstly, women are trying to abort their children illegally and without professional assistance. According to a couple of surveys released by the Texas Policy Evaluation Project, “100,000 to 240,000 Texas women from the age of 18 to 49 have tried to end a pregnancy by themselves. This has been an increasing occurrence in women. Additionally, some ways that they terminate their baby are by taking a drug called Misoprostol, taking home remedies with herbs, hitting or punching themselves in the abdomen, consuming alcohol, or taking hormonal pills. More importantly, when taking this into your own hands, you can hurt yourself internally and emotionally. In the most dire situations, it can lead to death.…
