Staff Cross-Training And Teamwork Analysis

In the Post-Anesthesia care unit (PACU), where I currently practice, nurses and other clinical support staff are confined to work in specific areas. At times, when unforeseen challenges rise, the environment becomes chaotic, disorganized, which due to the stress that this creates, results in conflict among the staff and poor patient care outcomes, such as poor quality of attention and little patient satisfaction.
Within the healthcare, in any settings is crucial the use of multidisciplinary teams, working in collaboration to improve clinical outcomes and to improve staff satisfaction.
