I have chosen the topic that social networking websites may have either a positive or negative impact on interpersonal relationships. I will be looking into the strengths and weaknesses of social networking, then come to a conclusion to whether it has a positive or negative impact on these relationships. I personally believe that social networking has negative affects on interpersonal relationships and I think this because people tend to stop interacting with other when using social media and also people will drift from others when they start to get addicted to something, for example Facebook. Social networking can be defined as “the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself.” I believe that in today’s society, social media has a huge impact on how people interact with each other everyday. Social networking replaces face-to-face interaction with people and is definitely starting to affect interpersonal relationships but in ways that people cannot figure out or realize that it is happening. Social media does give us what we need sometimes, it allows us to look up certain things, allows us to see what people are up too and also provides us with information; for example the news going around so can be useful for a lot of things, however it does get involved with relationships and can stop the interaction people have with each other which results in people being lonely, left…
