Electoral College is like saying a black person commits a crime and now that person has to go to court and face a jury picked unfairly. Why do I say unfairly you ask? Well, because this is a person of color, they purposely pick an all-white jury. My example has to do with the Electoral College because the simple fact, just like the all-white jury, the federal system basically doesn't care about our opinion. They just want us to feel like we’re doing something by letting us vote, when in reality our votes don't matter. As many times as this system has, failed you would think they would stop to think if it’s a good system for the United States. One time is too many, but 4 to 5 times is excessive. There have been several occasions where the Electoral College has failed the United States. In 1800, this happened during the presidential election with Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr. Again in 1824 with John Q Adams and Andrew Jackson. Andrew Jackson should've won, but John Q. Adams won, due to the Electoral College. A 3rd time in 1876 with Rutherford Hayes and Samuel Tiden, and a Fourth time in 1888 with Benjamin Harrison and Grover Cleveland. The last time took place in 2001 with George W. Bush.
