“Shoddy Service Sows the Seeds of Discontent” In the article “Shoddy Service Sows the Seeds of Discontent,” Dawn Turner Trice gives three personal experiences of poor customer service. The first example discusses an issue pertaining to a couple of grocery store employees and their lack of concern for her nutritional wellness. The second example pertains to a restaurant’s lack of accountability for the cleanliness of their dishware. Next she discusses a friend’s account of poor service at a dry cleaner. Lastly, she speaks directly to members of the service industry calling for respect and decency for those paying for the service. This article fills me with ambivalence.
