Sharepoint: Mid Year Performance Review

Decent Essays
Having looked back on my mid year performance review I can say that I have accomplished everything and more what I set out in my original Mid Year review.

Since my last performance review I have managed to complete the project area on share point, this has been a challenging piece of work to complete as there has been a lot of extra added benefits to make the new project area work for everyone. The new project area has a new 'task list' which will now assist with issues needing to be addressed as part of a project. - Any Engineer can go into the 'task list' and create a task. A good example of this was when I came across an issue on the CAG project, I could easily create a new task for myself to fix a certain issue with the CAG plugin, assigning a priority, due date and description of the task. This has become an invaluable addition to the CTS Project area, as project issues can now be documented and addressed during projects giving them the attention which they need to improve the service and delivery of a project being fulfilled by CTS.

As previously stated by one of our newly acquired customers, now that we are servicing their IT needs, the process seems to have slowed down a noticeable amount. This is because of all the controls that the enterprise project management group has in place to monitor the status of various projects. This is something that needs to be severely overhauled. For example, every project requires a cost benefits analysis, a rough order of magnitude, a proposal, and a charter. These are documents that are produced solely to determine if the work that will be done is justified and will provide a benefit to the business.…

Critique of the Performance Management Process The Performance Management System (PMS) has defined steps that make up a Performance Management Process (PMP), represented by six important stages. To be effective, it is necessary for alignment of the PMS with an organization’s vision, mission, and strategic goals, and perhaps most important, includes full participation from management at each step in a PMP. The steps or components in the PMP interconnect, whereby if a step fails to meet the intended purpose, the system as a whole suffers negative repercussions. Two related and interconnected components of the PMP outlined, are in the beginning stages of the process, prerequisites, and performance planning.…
