During my clinical rotation at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Patterson, I had the opportunity to be with the patient at the time of physician’s rounds. The physician questioned the patient and me to know whether either of us had any concerns about the medical care being given. I was able to advocate for the patient and bring up some of the patient’s concerns. I was also able to reinforce the instructions given by the physician to the patient after the visit was completed. The patient seemed really happy and satisfied about the care he had received. I was also feeling satisfied with my job after the direct communication with the physician during the patient round.
