Patient experiences are part of the MHL value statement. Every employee is educated yearly on the importance of customer satisfaction through in-services, and Press-Ganey survey results done by nursing management. Evidence has shown that patient satisfaction has improved patient outcomes, and fewer errors have occurred (Huber, 2014).
MHL has two separate recognition programs. The first recognition is called the DAISY award. The DAISY award is given to a nurse who holds patient safety, communication, excellence, innovation, compassion,
