It should have six categories that we touch base on: technology use, communication, clinical skills, supervisory, safety and continuing professional education. The reason I feel these six categories are important are because first technology, by understanding why you are using technology it is just as important as how. Second would be looking at communication between the supervisor/employees and even with their clients. Third is seeing how much clinical skills each employee holds. The fourth one is supervisory, how is it for the employees to get ahold of their supervisor regarding questions or concerns they may have. Fifth is safety concerns, what do the employees feel is a safety problem when out at a client’s house. Participants are assigned to an active or observational role in the scenario and familiarize themselves with the room, equipment, and any clinical notes.
• Simulation Scenario: The real life, hands-on part of the simulation session where trainees play out a scenario case with the support of a trainer. The main training objective of role play is to give trainees practical insights into home visits.
• Debriefing: This is the fundamental part of the learning, have group discussion and reflection on the scenario as it played out and individuals experiences of participating. The trainer leads the discussion and reflection with attention to intended learning objectives.
• Course Ending: A course summary of the participants experiences and learning outcomes, alongside a plan for real-life application of learning points post training.
By knowing the needs and concerns of the trainees it is easy to make these training sessions
