One of the principles of small group communication is consensus, which is defined as a general agreement and group solidarity of belief or sentiment. Everybody in a group needs to know how important of consensusbecause if we are in consensus as s group, we can achieve the best result at the end of our discussion as s group. We discussed a lot before we choosing the best answer. As the result, our group almost got the same answer to the answer key. In addition, the next principles of small group communication are minority and majority viewpoints. Often times we have two different viewpoints during the group discussion, which are minority and majority viewpoint. We normally decide to choose the majority viewpoint for final decision and completely eliminate minority viewpoint. Even though, we pickedthe majority viewpoint for the final answer because it seems like it is reasonable, we shouldn’t completely forget about minority viewpoint. Occasionally, minority viewpoint happens to be the best approach. Therefore, we should examine minority viewpoint thoroughly before we make the final decision. Quiet group members is not such a bad perception when you in a group discussing about a major topic that members of the group would rather listen to everyone's opinions rather shouting it all out and not taking turns. Leadership is defined as the ability to lead, guide, and direct others in a situation. In addition, leadership is a lot of responsibility and when a person is a in a leader status, they should be respectful, be responsible, and be able to carry out the actions for their group in a proper manner. Being responsible is also one of the major abilities of a leader because being responsible shows that whether you win or lose you will accept the consequences. For instance, if the ball is tossed and members of the group have to keep it up in the air and not drop it, but suddenly the ball drop then the leader will accept that he/she will accept that they fail the activity and will do better next time instead of shouting and yelling at why the ball was dropped. Sometimes, it happens there is a memberin group who is so creative that the rest of group members may think his/her ideas are weird or crazy.
